As creative director at Tea at Shiloh, there have been some really exciting projects myself (+ genreless Media) have tackled; typically involving tea, community, and the outdoors. What could be better? ‘Matcha at Baldy’ is a short film I created following immense snowfall in the area, and all throughout the icy peaks.
It was cold, precarious, and extremely fun.

During the pandemic there were a couple trails frequented in Topanga Canyon which truly saved me and provided a steady grounding, away from the chaos pouring out of the Devices. At the same time I was becoming more and more obsessed with Japanese ambient - especially the works of Takashi Kokubo and Hiroshi Yoshimura.
This short film, shot in one day throughout the Canyon, was a purely meditative practice, and something I feel proud of to this day.

We sat around a campfire, laughing and drinking kombucha. Sadie broke out the guitar and launched into a goddamn masterpiece of a track. The kind of folk music for our times - hauntingly beautiful and tapped in with the heartbeat of our planet. More to come with this one!

“The long, dark night of the end of history has to be grasped as an enormous opportunity. The very oppressive pervasiveness of capitalist realism means that even glimmers of alternative political and economic possibilities can have a disproportionately great effect. The tiniest event can tear a hole in the grey curtain of reaction which has marked the horizons of possibility under capitalist realism. From a situation in which nothing can happen, suddenly anything is possible again.” - Mark Fisher (RIP)
the future will be different.
